Notably, most salaries have remained fairly static over the last 12 months. This is despite the war for talent and the shortage of great midweights and specific specialists across the business. The future is uncertain and this is affecting candidate mobility and their wish for security.
Many businesses cannot afford to raise salaries for their staff so there are some innovative feel good factors that agencies are introducing to keep and motivate their loyal staff. As always it’s never all about the money and we are seeing more and more altruistic candidates who are looking for the perfect life balance of challenging work that allows for a good personal life too. Whether the economic outlook will accommodate this over the next 12 months is the big question.
